NOTE: Some of the dates are out of order–I grouped them by which step in the process they belong to.

Date:_____? DCT Industrial, the contract purchaser of the McCollister property, requested that the Township Council declare the property to be an area in need of redevelopment, for the purpose of applying for a tax abatement.

6/13/17: Tax abatement taken off the table at the council meeting.  Tax abatement to be reintroduced at a later date as 2 ordinances–one for each of subdivisions planned for the 2 warehouses. 


STEP 4. DONE Approve developer’s SITE PLAN application.

4/24/17 Date of DCT’s Application

5/12/17– Residents mailed notice of 5/24/17 informational meeting about the project. This is the first notice that residents received about the McCollister property plans.

Sent by regular US mail. No return address. This looks a lot like junk mail.

 5/24/17 – Informal Public Informational Meeting – McCollister’s Property Warehouse Plans with DCT and Maser Consulting (engineering firm)

5/28/17 – Public Notice in Burlington County Times – announcing 6/8/17 meeting. Applicant [DCT] seeks preliminary and final major site plan approval and subdivision approval for the redevelopment of the existing industrial property with two industrial warehouses totaling approximately 1,064,116 square feet, which the Applicant proposes to construct in two phases.

6/08/17 – Planning Board Meeting. Residents were there until 1 in the morning voicing their concerns. The public portion of the meeting was closed. A continuance of the hearing was scheduled for July 13.

7/13/17 DCT Site Plan Approved by Planning Board
